Champion Tree Walk

Champion Trees are the largest or tallest of their species. There are 6 British Champions, 11 Scottish and 25 for Dumfries and Galloway all at Castle Kennedy Gardens. They include the tallest Himalayan Rhododendron arboreum which is an original specimen, the tallest Eucryphia cordifolia standing at approximately 22 metres in height, as well as a remarkable Griselinia which has girth of over 4 metres.

The Guided Walk will be led by the Head Gardener, John MacArthur of that Ilk, who has been at Castle Kennedy Gardens for over 22 years.
