Join the fun at the Logan BioBlitz at Logan Botanic Garden on Saturday 28th June 11-5pm
Wildlife enthusiasts of all ages and abilities are invited to Logan on Saturday 28th June to helps us to search for as many different plants and animals that live here.
What's a BioBlitz?
A BioBlitz is a festival of biodiversity, bringing together wildlife experts and beginners, to find, identify, and record as many plant and animal species as possible – all in 24 hours. Throughout the event there will be a programme of guided walks led by local wildlife experts and a range of activities (pond dipping, moth identification, bat walks) showcasing the wonderful wildlife that make their homes at Logan. The garden has an excellent network of paths through woodland and wonderful ponds which support a wide variety of birds, butterflies, fabulous flowers and much more. And there's lovely food available in the Logan Bistro for the all important refreshments between activities!
There is no additional charge other than normal garden admission charges apply, children free. Activities will run from 11am to 4pm.
Logan Botanic Garden is located is located 14 miles south of Stranraer and is signposted from the A75.
There will also be a bat and moth night on Friday 27th June kicking off the recording activities. More information and booking details nearer the date.
